ForeSight: Theatrical Trailer Final Cut

Here is the final cut of the theatrical trailer for ForeSight. After listening to feedback I corrected some areas to improve the trailer. I included More depth and variety to the music (Thank you to James McCormick for the music provided) As well as this I added more shots to portray the plot alot better, giving it a clearer direction.

This is the main production of my A2 Course. Hope you enjoy!

Feedback from rough cut

After a survey of 25 people from ages between 18 - 63, I have been able to receive feedback upon the rough cut of my Theatrical Trailer of ForeSight. The questions I asked were as followed:

  1. Did the product you just watched full-fill its role as a theatrical trailer?
  2. Did you enjoy the Trailer?
  3. What genre do you believe the film to be?
  4. What do you believe the plot is about?
  5. Would this trailer entice you to go and research the film into more depth or draw you into the cinema to watch the film?
  6. Does the music fit within the trailer?
  7. Does the trailer have a nice flow and feel?
  8. What did you like best about the trailer?
  9. What improvements would you suggest?

I did receive a large proportion of positive feedback, the montage section of the trailer was well liked throughout all of the age groups, and the continuous implementation of Eyes connected the viewers into a mysterious looking thriller.

From the survey I found out that the plot wasn't clear within the trailer and had no real direction as to what was happening. Meanwhile the music within the trailer was too continuous, it was lacking variety, a pause; in turn made the trailer monotonous and boring.

As well as this feedback from a series of 25 surveys I also had a group discussion with 10 peers after watching the trailer. Again it was highlighted that more shots needed to be involved to make the plot line more clear and as well as this add a variety of music to make the trailer more intriguing.

ForeSight: Teaser Trailer

Here is the final cut of my teaser trailer for ForeSight. I have developed this from my first rough cut with the music. Feedback that i received highlighted that there wasn't enough depth within the trailer. Therefore i asked James McCormick who created the music for me, to add another layer to fill the gaps to create a much more depth of field within the trailer. As you will see and hear the cello now involved improves the trailer drastically.

Photo storyboard

Here is my photo storyboard for the theatrical of ForeSight. As you will notice it is different from my sketched as I have updated the trailer and have came up with a new idea for a trailer that will give the audience a greater understanding of the plot line.
